CSP - acetylcysteine to ameliorate acute renal injury in a rat ardiopulmonary bypass model
نویسندگان
چکیده
ethods: Male Sprague–Dawley rats were divided into four groups (each n 6): ham group, cardiopulmonary bypass group, and two N-acetylcysteine–treated ardiopulmonary bypass groups (bolus doses of 200 and 500 mg/kg in cardiopulonary bypass prime). Blood samples were collected at the beginning of cardioulmonary bypass, at the cessation of cardiopulmonary bypass, and at 2 and 12 ostoperative hours. The kidneys were harvested at 12 postoperative hours.

متن کاملCorrelation of intraoperative renal near infrared spectroscopy with the development of acute kidney injury in adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery using cardiopulmonary bypass
Introduction: The present study aimed to correlate renal oximetry near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) values with conventional non-invasive biomarkers for the early detection of acute kidney injury (AKI) in adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery using cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Accordingly, renal NIRS can be employed as a trending device for the prevention of AKI developmen...
متن کاملThe effect of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells on renal function and histopathology in a rat model of ischemia-reperfusion induced acute kidney injury
Objective(s): It has been shown that adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSC) have protective effects in acute kidney injury (AKI). This study was conducted to assess the therapeutic effects of AD-MSC in rats subjected to acute kidney injury by 45 min of renal ischemia followed by 48 hr of reperfusion (I/R). Materials and Methods:...
متن کاملIn vivo effects of allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells in a rat model of acute ischemic kidney injury
Objective(s): Renal ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) as a severe condition of acute kidney injury (AKI) is the most common clinical problem with high mortality rates of 35-60% deaths in hospital. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) due to unique regenerative characteristics are ideal candidates for the treatment of the ischemic injuries. This work is focused on the administration of MSC to IRI-induce...
متن کاملEffects of Pretreatment with Pentoxyfilline and N-acetylcysteine on Renal Injury Following Induction of Liver Ischemia-Reperfusion
Background & Aims: Liver ischemia-reperfusion (IR) is one of the common consequences of liver surgery, especially during liver transplantation which results in organ dysfunction. Acute hepatic injury causes systematic inflammatory responses which may finally lead to functional disturbances in remote organs such as heart, lungs and kidneys. In this study, the effects of a potent inhibitor of inf...
